Is there a way to highlight todays date on the gantt chart and automatically display on opening my project.

Currently when i open my project it automatically opens to the start date of the project and i can't find a way of making todays date easily and quickly identifiable.

todays date is always the blue line. You should try to filter your start and finish dates of task. The ganttchart calendar view is the only part of the project that doesn't save its setting. I think this is to view the whole project from the date you started to see your progresss.
