Set duration and work independently

Yes, please choose to project dropdown and then select properties -> select duration and make changes as required. Refer to below attached image.

I want to be able to update the Duration of a task independently of the hours set in the Work column. For example, if I set 8 hours work for a task for 1 person, this will automatically set the duration to 1 day. I want to be able to set the duration to 4 days for instance without this to automatically change the hours to 32.
Is this possible? Thanks for any input.
